This is my first week participating in this meme and I'm super excited. My TBR pile is BEYOND out of control and I think that this meme might be a helpful tool in bring it back under control again. Since I'm a pretty slow reader I think that I will only be participating every 2 weeks unless I have a REALLY good week. I'm currently reading:
So far I'm really enjoying this book. Charlie seems to be a pretty kick ass heroine for a lady who's been dead and brought back to life again. So far I'm really liking her partner Hank, who's a siren as well. He's pretty funny and yet he knows when to shut his trap too.
If I can get through The Better Part of Darkness in a reasonable amount of time, the next book up on my TBR pile is Wither. I just signed up a read-along for this book so it only makes sense to make it the next book on the list.
I have Wither on my wish list at the library. I cannot wait to read it. I have heard so many great things about this one and the next one in the series.

ReplyDeleteI've read Wither and I liked it even though I'm not really sold with the dystopian genre. Not yet anyway.
I haven't heard about The Better Part of Darkness but I'll check it out.
I have been looking for Wither for a long time! but it isn't in my country, so I think I have to wait.

ReplyDeleteSo The Better Part of Darkness. I have not heard of that one, but sirens and "brought back to life again?" Yeah, that sounds like something I should check out.
I have not read Wither yet, either... though it has been sitting on my shelf for months. :P I've heard such mixed reviews on it and I'm super curious!

ReplyDeleteI am glad to have you on board. Just like Dani, I haven't heard of The Better Part of Darkness until now. I'm not familiar with the author either, but it do sounds good. Glad that you're liking it. Hope you'd be able to finish your book so you can move on with Wither. I have it on my TBR too, but you know how our reading pile works... I hope I can get to it some day... soon. :)
